ABOUT US
THE BEGINNING
Established in 2003, Cutting Edge Ranch was built on a shared passion for agriculture, cattle, and family. What began as a farming and ranching operation evolved into a dedicated seedstock program in 2011, driven by a commitment to producing functional, efficient cattle that work in every day ranch conditions.
The ranch is owned and operated by Rick and Amber, high school sweethearts who built this operation side by side. Today, Cutting Edge Ranch remains a family-run operation, with their kids—Kaden, Kylee, and Kolden—playing an active role and representing the next generation of the ranch.
Our program is rooted in discipline, intentional selection, and practical development. We believe cattle should be built to last, perform efficiently, and add value to both seedstock and commercial operations. That philosophy carries through every decision we make—from the pasture to the sale ring.
In addition to cattle, we operate a diversified farming enterprise, raising corn, soybeans, canola, oats, rye, sorghum, and alfalfa. This crop diversity allows us to manage cattle under realistic conditions and reinforces our focus on efficiency and sustainability.
Each year, we host our annual bull and female sale on the third Saturday of January, offering genetics backed by family values, hard work, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
At Cutting Edge Ranch, this isn’t just a business—it’s a way of life, built around family, agriculture, and cattle that are designed to work.
OUR MISSION
OUR PASSION
Our passion is simple: showing up every day committed to providing commercial cattlemen with the best genetics possible. Through disciplined culling and intentional matings, we strive to produce high-quality cattle that work hard and produce high-quality beef.
